The SMBC Kyoto University Studio was opened on Monday, July 1, 2024, within the Kyoto University Growth Strategy Headquarters. The office will be run by a total of five people, including two seconded employees from SMBC Group's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Japan Research Institute, Ltd., and three Kyoto University staff members.
