(Held on November 27th) Let's discuss how to end your life happily! ~Tatsutori? Notonare? Which one are you?~

When I hear the words "death" or "end-of-life planning," I tend to get nervous.
However, talking about "how to end things happily" also means thinking about "how to live happily."
This event is a gateway to such friendly dialogue.

"Support for sustainable decision-making and arrangements that preserve dignity for everyone during and after lifeThe "How to End Your Life" project uses two types of people, "Tatsutori (the meticulous type)" and "Notonare (the easygoing type)," as inspiration to create an opportunity for people to reexamine their own values regarding how they "end their lives."

Why not think about how you and your family should end your life with the help of an expert?

Event Overview

Let's try to put into words the "preparation for the end" that we do in our daily lives. It's not difficult.
This event is a small-group dialogue where participants can have leisurely conversations with each other, prompted by information provided by Professor Kodama of Kyoto University and Researcher Sawamura of the Japan Research Institute, who are working on a project titled "Sustainable personal arrangements, decision-making, and support for maintaining dignity for everyone during and after death."

The theme is how to end your life happily.
With the keywords "Tatsutori (birds that fly leave no trace)" and "Notonare (the rest is as it may be),"
We shared our experiences and stories about which side we leaned to,
We will reconsider how we end our lives as something that concerns us personally.

A 90-minute session where you will learn about academic knowledge and reflect on your own life so far and in the future.
Inheritance, grave, contact details, passwords, and people to ask in case of an emergency...
Using such familiar themes as a starting point, we will discuss in an easy-to-understand manner the question, "What kind of person do you want to be?"

Project Introduction

Don't let one person have to deal with the decision of how to end their life.
In recent years, older people are increasingly faced with decisions to make regarding the fate of their lives.
On the other hand, with the shrinking size of families and an increase in people living alone, it is unrealistic for individuals to make decisions about ending their lives (medical care, money, housing, assets, etc.) on their own. How society can support decision-making is being called into question.
This project aims to consider what a desirable society should be through dialogue with citizens and experts and through research into previous studies, and to implement "ways to end a happy life" in society.
